                                   Weekend

 

  Admiral John L. Worden              Medley for 4 Couples

                                   Devised by Diane Spain, Oak Park, CA, May 26, 1994.
                                   Winning dance for Fort Worden XX, September 1994
                                   from a selection of 64 for this event, and published in
                                   the booklet 'Ft. Worden XX - The Scottish Country
                                   Dance Collection,  published in 1994.

  The Fiddle Sound                      32 bar Strathspey for 3 couples
                                                                       in a 4 couple set. 8 time through
.

                                   Devised by Bob McMurtry of Sacramento, CA to an
                                   original tune composed by Muriel Johnstone, named
                                   "Earl Gaddis". This was the winning entry for Ft.
                                   Worden XXV 's competition, 1999.   "The music
                                    reminded me of a fiddle tune floating over Puget
                                   Sound, and led to my naming the dance The Fiddle
                                   Sound."

 The Spirit of The Dance               8 X 32 Strathspey for 3 couples

                                   Written  by Irene Paterson in memory of Bob Blackie,
                                   friend, dancer, and teacher, May 1998.          
                                   The music selected to accompany this dance is 'My
                                   Dearest Sally - Bobby Brown (SOCAN).  It is selected
                                   to be in the TAC 50th Anniversary Collection, to be
                                   published in August 2008.  Click on the Dance name
