Held
in Friday Harbor in the San Juan Islands,
this day is co-hosted by the Seattle Branch and the Friday Harbor
Branch of RSCDS. We dance at the Grange Hall in downtown,
overlooking the harbor, having arrived by ferry boat from Anacortes.
Calum MacKinnon and several other musicians will be joining us for
this event. Due to changes in the ferry schedule we will need to take the 9:35 AM ferry from Anacortes,
arriving at 10:40 AM in Friday Harbor and use
the extra time to explore the town (great food, book stores and
quaint shops). The dance will begin at about 11:45 AM and go
until 3:30ish so we can catch the return ferry at 4:15 PM. The
cue sheets
are now available, thank you to Rachel P. Fees will be $10.
for regular dancers, $5. for students, and children under 10 are
free, and will get collected on the ferry.
Please bring a finger food style dish to share at the dance.
There will be a pub gathering in Anacortes upon our return, or you
might wish to stay over night in this quaint town. Contact
Bill P. of Friday Harbor or Elinor V. for more help. Check out the
ferry schedules for their
rates and further information on times; allow enough time to get
your cars parked, possibly at the upper lot (a bit of a walk), and
to gather in the terminal for walking on.
