  • 'Get Fit for Fort Worden' this summer with a summer series of classes to prepare for the September Event.  The whole series is listed here and is on the July and August Calendars.
     

July 2015                                             

  • Jul. 2,9,16,23,30  (Thur.) - Wenatchee Scottish Dance Classes will continue at the Irish Dance Studio , 151 Worthen St, Wenatchee,   from 6:30 - 8:30 PM.  Classes page has further info.  Call Lesley A. teacher (509.663.3743) if you need further information or are traveling through the area and would like to join in. 
     

  • Jul. 5, 12, 19 (Sun.) - Redmond Class will meet these dates, same location.  See Classes page if more info. is needed, or call  Lea.
     

  • Jul. 11 - 12 (Sat - Sun) - Skagit Valley Highland Games, Edgewater Park, Mount Vernon, WA.
     

  • Jul. 15, 22, 29 (Wed) - 'Get Fit for Fort Worden' series of classes at Phinney Neighborhood Center, Seattle, Rm. 1 from 8-10 PM.  Branch rates for the whole series (members $48 usd for  6 weeks/ non-members $60 usd for 6 wks), taught by Elizabeth M.  See the whole schedule.
     

  • Jul. 16 (Thu.) - There will be a concert at the home of Sandy McKasson, featuring fiddler  Ryan McKasson and singer Eric McDonald at 7PM.  Arrive by 6:30 to get seats.  Tickets are sold by donation only at the event.   • Jul. 18 (Sat.) - Portland Scottish Highland Games, Mt. Hood Community College, Gresham, OR
     

  • Jul. 19 (Sun.) - The City of Normandy Park and Thistle Productions presents its Celtic Music Fest at Marvista Park, from 12 - 6:30pm.  (Marvists Park: 19990 4th Ave SW, Normandy Park, WA.  Featured are Whisky Minstrals, The Bog Hoppers, Erin McNamee, Men of Worth and Clan Gordon Pipe Band.
     

  • Jul. 26 - Aug. 2 (Sun. - Aug.2 Sun.) - TAC Summer School 2015  will be held at Longwood University, Farmville, VA, USA. from Sunday July 26 through Sunday August 2. Registration opened in January of this year.
     

  • Jul. 25 - 26 (Sat.-Sun.) - Pacific Northwest Scottish Highland Games and Clan Gathering, Enumclaw Expo Center, Enumclaw, WA.  On Sunday, Elinor Vandegrift will be doing a session at the games 'Fun, Fitness, Friendship that is SCD' at about 11:00 to 11:45 (see the day's schedule for the exact time and place).  Come join her at this event and enjoy the games.
     


 

Aug. 2015                                        

 

  • Aug. 1 (Sat.) - Spokane Highland Games, Spokane Country Fair Center, Spokane, WA.  There is a link on the St. Andrews Society site under Affiliates.  If you wish to talk to a dancer in Spokane about their classes on Thursdays  Catharine R.

  • Aug. 15 (Sat.) - Anne & Peter's Annual Summer Garden Party is happening again this summer, this date.  Co-sponsored by the Seattle Branch and the Caledonians this is a favorite for relaxing summer days.  Your invitation is here.  The dances have been decided upon and are provided here.
     

  • Aug. 27 (Thurs.) - Seattle Branch RSCDS annual Ft. Worden Walk-through Class #1.  Walk-throughs for Ft. Worden Weekend dances will be at the Phinney Neighborhood Center, Rm. 2, 8:00 - 10:00 pm.  Taught by Elizabeth and Ian.  Class #2 will be Sept. 3.
     

Sept. 2015

  • Sept. 20 (Sun.) - Lake Forest  Park Farmers Market - noon - 1pm there will be a dance-demo at the north end of the lower level outside City Hall, at the end of the stalls to advertise our style of dance to the community.  Bring a friend (s) along to dance with us.  Outside shoes for this event.

Oct. 2015

  • Oct. 31 - Nov. 1 - RSCDS Medicine Hat Branch  Workshop & Ball, Alberta, Canada.  Here is a great new opportunity to dance with our northern friends.  Talk to Elinor about this if you are interested.  Here is their brochure.

Nov. 2015

  • Nov. 13 - 15 (Fri. - Sun.) - RSCDS San Francisco Branch celebrates its 50th Anniversary at the Asilomar Conference Grounds, Pacific Grove, CA, USA.    Located at the Monterey Peninsula this is a unique setting for Scottish dancing. The Workshop and Ball musicians are Fiddlesticks & Ivory, Judi Nicolson and Andy Imbrie,  with teachers Jimmie Hill, Ruth Jappy, Elaine Brunken, Jeff Corrigan and Alan Twhigg.  Details and application and registration are at their website for you.
