  • June 22 (Sat.) - Puget Sound Crossroads, at Friday Harbor, San Juan Island, WA.  This is our Annual event  with dance folks from all over Puget Sound and North coming together for a day of greeting, dancing, ferry journey through the San Juan Islands or from across the strait.  It  is a joint venture with the Friday Harbor Dancers and RSCDS-Seattle Branch.  Music will be by Calum's Ceilidh Band (Calum MacKinnon) with favorite dances from our local groups put together.  There will be 2 evenings to 'walk-through'  the programme at Phinney Neighborhood Center, Seattle, on June 13 and June 20. (7:00 - 9:00PM)  All coming are encouraged to bring a finger food to share.  More information about this event in the spring after Ferry times are confirmed for crossing from Anacortes to Friday Harbor.  The dances have been established and the cues are given.   This event is looked forward to by a lot of us; the ferry ride over is wonderful, often with Scottish music shared for all on the ride, a stroll with  bagpipes to the grange hall where we dance (greeted by our Friday Harbor dancing friends),  usually enough time in Friday Harbor to explore a few shops, and if you wish you can have a special meal there in the harbor or even schedule a stay-overnight for the weekend.  If you haven't gone before, chat with some of the long time members about the event.  It's a favorite.
